Elaine is a 20 year old South African RnB / trap soul singer and songwriter. Her music is inspired mostly by her experiences, and the experiences of those she loves. Being a hopeless romantic, Elaine’s sound is a mixture of trap soul beats and catchy lyrics with soothing and mellow tones. Her passion for music dates back to the tender age of 6, the same age she started singing in her school choir, and the first time she sang a solo in front of an audience. Her taste in music has since developed and evolved from choral music to the soothing, comforting, upbeat and warm tones of RnB and trap soul.

Elaine’s first single was slip away, and she later released her EP – Elements which is a love story that covers the different elements of love and everything that it comes with. As much as she's a creative, Elaine is also a top law student at the University of Witwatersrand, and loves the art of problem solving and analyzing situations. She finds a way to express herself in both music and law school by remaining open, honest and passionate. Elaine’s second single “I Just Wanna Know” produced by Elizee was featured on Tuks FM’s Heatseekers show hosted by Goabs Paledi, 2 days after its release. On the day of the release, HYPE Magazine and Kreativ Kornerr posted the single on their Instagram and Twitter profiles.

She then got requests to collaborate from top artists such as Zoocci Coke Dope, The Big Hash and Flame. Elaine followed up with her debut EP titled 'Elements' on the 29th of October which secured the number one spot with no features on the Apple Music (RnB/Soul) charts in South Africa. Within it's first week, Elements secured the Number 2 spot on Apple Music South Africa (All Genres) charts and songs from the EP were added to five Apple Music playlists, including A-List R&B, Mood, Mzansi Soul and Pillow Talk.

As an independent artist, she is an inspiration that a record label is not needed to have number 1 album. She has been courted by Sony and Universal Music but she still chose to remain independent.
